Country House is the largest public park in the municipality of Madrid (Spain). Located west of the city, administratively located in the neighborhood of Country House (district of Moncloa-Aravaca), bordering the south district of America and the west by the town of Pozuelo de Alarcón. The park is attached to the Monte de El Pardo and covers an area of 1722.6 ha, including the Country Club grounds, which lost some of its surface. This area duplicates the Bois de Bolougne, in Paris, is five times larger than Central Park in New York or 6.5 times larger than Hyde Park in London.
The House was historic property of the Spanish Crown and hunting ground for royalty. Following the proclamation of the Second Republic, was released by the State to the people of Madrid (May 1, 1931), being open to the public since.
Inside are located several facilities such as amusement park, the Zoo, the cable car (which connects the Country House Park West, across the river Manzanares), part of the IFEMA Trade Fair (Institution Ferial de Madrid) Madrid Arena multipurpose hall, the sale of Bataan (rather traditional running of the bulls in the days before his fight in the bullring Sales) and different popular sports.
