Communities:
During 1520, the discomfort of the Castilian cities against Charles I is increased. In the courts of first convened in Santiago de Compostela and then in La Coruna, several cities, including Madrid is, refusing to rate the services that the king claimed to finance the imperial coronation in Germany. Finally, the regions of Castilla take up arms in several cities.
Madrid has also joined the movement and joint forces under the command of Juan de Zapata. This, along with commoners captains Juan Bravo (Segovia), Juan de Padilla (Toledo) and Francisco Maldonado (Salamanca) represents the Castilian rebels to Queen Joanna of Castile in Tordesillas, where he was detained.
However, the uprising ended in June 1521 when, after the defeat of the commoner in Villalar, the royal army entered the town after a siege.
