Prehistoric and Roman:
There Quaternary archaeological findings prove the existence of human population in the river terraces Manzanares, Jarama and Henares from the Paleolithic. Many of these places are known since the nineteenth century and are currently under developed areas, although, fortunately, the National Archaeological Museum keeps a good supply of archeological resources that are being reviewed and that correspond to a dozen sites in the Lower and Middle Paleolithic. Furthermore, the control of the works and the aggregate holdings has uncovered relatively well conservados. places
Already in the historical period, there is no evidence that there was no settlement within the current entity municipality during the Roman and Visigoth. However, there are other traces of the existence of settlement disperso. The old belief that Meaques stream in the House, the sale could be Roman (Latin mansio) called Miaccum, located on the road Titulcia joined with Segovia, is now discarded. Other archaeological evidence of the presence of a stable population in Madrid are the remains of two Visigothic necropolis, one in the former colony of the Earl of Vallellano-drive of Extremadura, near the Casa de Campo and the other in Tetuan de las Victorias.
