The National Museum Centro de Arte Reina Sofia (Reina Sofia Museum) is the Spanish national museum of twentieth century art and contemporary, based in Madrid. His name is colloquially abbreviated to Museo Reina Sofía.
Taken as the old General Hospital site, great eighteenth-century neoclassical building which is located in the area of Atocha, near train stations and subway homonyms. Was initially designed by José de Hermosilla and continued later by Francesco Sabatini. The Reina Sofia is the southern tip of the famous Golden Triangle of Art in Madrid, which includes two other famous museums: the Prado and the Thyssen-Bornemisza.
